Hands-On Innovation: NRT Trainees Join Seabird Drone Project
Wednesday, Oct 01, 2025
It is always exciting to see our students actively exploring the many opportunities the university provides. Watching them learn, engage, and collaborate not only empowers them but also prepares them to excel in today’s rapidly changing, technology-driven workforce. Now more than ever, students must embrace diverse learning experiences to be ready for the AI- and technology-driven world we live in.
Our NRT trainees, Samantha Garcia and Adriel Abad, are a perfect example of this in action. They are currently participating in the Center for Connected Autonomy and Artificial Intelligence (CA-AI) Drone Club, where they are contributing to a Seabird drone project in collaboration with the Marine Robotics Club. This type of cross-collaboration is a powerful way to gain hands-on knowledge and broaden their expertise.
The NRT trainees waste no time—they are motivated, engaged, and eager to expand their learning!
