NRT Students Awarded First Place at the Agentic AI Hackathon

The Agentic AI Hackathon, hosted by the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, brought together students for an exciting, hands-on exploration of autonomous, goal-driven artificial intelligence. Over the two-day event, teams collaborated to design and build innovative, real-world solutions using multi-agent AI frameworks, showcasing creativity, technical depth, and industry relevance. First place was awarded to OnCourse: A Multi-Agent AI-Powered Academic Planner, developed by NRT trainees Adriel Marie Abad, Vinceline Bertrand, and Nikki Leali, whose project stood out for its strong technical execution, thoughtful design, and impactful application of agentic AI to enhance academic planning and student success. The hackathon highlighted FAU’s vibrant AI ecosystem and the impressive talent, innovation, and dedication of its students.
