Forest Hill Community High School Students

As a proud member of the NAF Engineering Advisory Board, the College of Engineering and Computer Science at Florida Atlantic University was honored to support and sponsor the Forest Hill Community High School Robotics Team at the 2025 FIRST Robotics Competition Miami Regional, held during the first week of April.

This sponsorship reflects the College’s strong commitment to STEM outreach and its dedication to building a pipeline of future engineers and innovators. Competing against more than 40 teams from across Florida and beyond, the Forest Hill Falcons showcased their innovation, teamwork, and school pride on the competition field.

Led entirely by students, the team designed, built, and programmed a competitive robot to take on this year’s challenge, CRESCENDO. Their robot, equipped with a swerve drive system, demonstrated advanced engineering and defensive strategy, highlighting their skills in design, problem-solving, and the practical application of engineering and computer science principles.

The event offered far more than a robotics competition—it was a dynamic, immersive experience. From the excitement in the pits to the camaraderie in the stands and team bonding after hours, students gained valuable insight into the broader robotics community. They also formed meaningful connections with peers, mentors, and potential future educational and career pathways.

Forest Hill’s expanding robotics program continues to inspire and empower the next generation of problem-solvers. The team's presence at the Miami Regional was a testament to the transformative power of education, mentorship, and community collaboration.
