Florida Atlantic University welcomes back alumna Parinaz Moghadampour for an artist talk this semester. Parinaz's immersive, tech-driven practice merges AI-generated visuals, 3D animation, creative coding, and real-time interaction, creating experiences that bridge technology and poetic reflection.

During her graduate research, she developed Oasis—an interactive installation powered by Leap Motion, Kinect, and MIDI controllers. This fictional world critiques media-driven consumerism and its environmental consequences, inviting audiences to regenerate an endangered waterfall through gesture. Using Touch Designer and AI, the work fosters catharsis, empathy, and ecological awareness through embodied interaction.

Moghadampour has exhibited widely, both in her home country and across South Florida. Highlights include a six-month solo exhibition at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, presentations at the MFA Lab at Locust Projects, and screenings at Chroma Film Festival, among others.

Workshops:
She will discuss potential workshop dates with the club. Students will learn about Touch Designer and other immersive tools for installation and animation. If interested check her website next week for the future workshop dates.
