A flowchart outlining the steps for a Principal Investigator to prepare and submit a grant proposal.
- Idea: Principal Investigator develops a project idea.
- Guidance: PI contacts Sponsored Programs for initial guidance.

Development:
- PI prepares the proposal and scope of work.
- PI works with Department Coordinator on budget and Pre-award Routing Sheet.
- Departmental Approval: Pre-award documents are approved by PI, Chair, and Dean.
- Review: Proposal and Pre-award documents are submitted to Sponsored Programs for review.
- Submission: PI receives approval and Sponsored Programs submits the proposal.

Funding Result:
- If Funded: Project proceeds.
- If Not Funded: PI chooses to Resubmit or find a New Funding Source.
