• Review RFP/Solicitation to ensure compliance with sponsor requirements
• Liaison and service provider to internal and external stakeholders, including principal investigators, administrators, program officers, grants officials and colleagues
• Interpret research policies and university and sponsor requirements
• Proposal review, processing and submission to sponsor

• Review or draft and negotiate terms and conditions in award contracts, research agreements and other financial and non-financial agreements
• Research agreements include grant agreements, sponsored research agreements, contracts, purchase orders, subcontracts, master agreements, non-disclosure agreements, clinical trial agreements, and consulting agreements
• Liaison with general counsel’s office, sponsor’s contract officer, and other internal stakeholders

• Manage subaward documents and conduct risk assessment of subrecipient
• Create and issue outgoing subaward agreements per the award/contract terms
• Negotiate subaward terms
• Manage FFATA and subcontracting plan reporting

• Provide guidance and oversight for active sponsored awards to ensure proper stewardship of external funding.
• Initiate account establishment processes, facilitate post-award actions, such as, no cost extension (NCE), budget amendments, modifications to the Scope of Work, changes to key personnel, decrease in PI effort, award transfers, and sponsor prior approval requirements.  
• Ensure that human subjects, animal use, environmental health and safety, IBC, export control, conflict of interest (FCOI), and research security training compliances are in place.  
• Facilitate the submission of progress and final technical reports to the sponsor when the reports must be submitted by Florida Atlantic’s authorized official
