Monthly Meeting- Welcome Back- Spring Kick-Off Event WIECS

Wednesday, January 15th- 6:00pm-7:00pm

Spring has sprung and it is time to meet to get back to work.  Current WIE/CS members will be in attendance as well as new in-coming freshman and transfer students.  Everyone is invited to the Kick-Off to learn about how to “get involved.  We will be talking about WIE/CS Scholarships, Society of Women Engineering (SWE) event, Motorola Visit, Volunteering at Middle School, Spring Banquet.

Monthly Meeting- Mindfulness

Wednesday, February 5th- 6:00pm-7:00pm

The Monthly Meeting is about the importance of Purposeful awareness, transformation and personal growth.  There is an important difference between Mindfulness versus mindlessness, that needs to be further explored.  This “being in the moment” is considered a sacred watch, which demands enduring patience, care, and insight.  Come, understand and learn practical applications of Mindfulness.

Monthly Meeting- Health & Wellness

Wednesday, March 4th- 6:00pm-7:00pm

At the Monthly Meeting, topics of discussion will be Life Goals. Taking the Next Steps. Food Insecurity. Love Your Body. Realistic Goals. Fitness Goals. Self-Love Valentine’s Day. Building a Balanced Snack. Naps or Caffeine, etc…come and find out how to enhance your health and wellness

Motorola Site Visit & Facilities Tour, Plantation, FL

Monday, April 13th 9:30am-1:30pm

Students and company representatives will engage in a round table discussion that focuses on topics issues relevant to women in engineering and computer science professions. Student will also take a tour of the labs and facilities at the Motorola Solutions Plantations Campus.

Spring Banquet-End of Year Celebration

This is an opportunity for us to thank you for your participation and engagement in the WIECS program.  Mentors, mentee and supporting participants will be able to share in the celebration of the end of the year!
