The College of Education is pleased to provide an official GPA Calculator for graduate students to help you monitor your academic progress at any time throughout your program.

This tool allows you to calculate your cumulative graduate GPA so you can stay informed about your academic standing, plan ahead, and make informed decisions in consultation with your advisor or program coordinator.

Why Use the GPA Calculator?

  • Track your progress toward maintaining good academic standing
  • Plan proactively for upcoming coursework
  • Identify concerns early and seek support if needed
  • Align with advising practices used by faculty and program coordinators

Please note: This GPA Calculator is the official calculator that all College of Education faculty and advisors will use when discussing academic progress, good academic standing, probation status, and Academic Progression Plans (APPs). Using this tool ensures that your GPA calculations match those used for advising and program review.

Important Academic Standing Reminder

FAU policy requires a minimum cumulative graduate GPA of 3.0 for all degree-seeking graduate students. Students whose GPA falls below 3.0 at the end of a semester will be:

  • Designated as not in good academic standing
  • Placed on academic probation
  • Required to work with their advisor or program coordinator to submit an Academic Progression Plan (APP) to the Graduate College

Students on probation must complete and submit Form 11 – Academic Progression Plan (APP) in collaboration with their advisor or program coordinator: Access APP Form 11

Students who do not meet the requirements outlined in their APP by the end of the next full term of enrollment may be subject to academic dismissal, unless a revised APP is submitted and approved.

We Encourage You to Use This Tool Regularly

We strongly encourage all graduate students to use the GPA Calculator on a regular basis as a proactive way to stay aware of your academic progress now and moving forward. Monitoring your GPA can help you make timely decisions, seek support early, and remain on track for successful program completion.

If you have questions about your GPA, academic standing, or program requirements, please contact your academic advisor or program coordinator.
