We represent students, assist in addressing student concerns, and provide requested information. Additionally, we:

  1. Aid in the selection of the representative of the College of Education for Distinguished Teacher of the Year (DTOY) award
  2. Develop and aid in the performance of projects and presentations (e.g. the annual Research Symposium) determined to be beneficial to the college and university at large
  3. Act as a liaison among students, faculty, and administration
  4. Participate in establishing rules, regulations, and policies of the College of Education
  5. Represent College of Education on the University Student Advisory Council

The Student Advisory Council and the College of Education are proud to sponsor their annual Student Research Symposium. The symposium's purpose is twofold: to provide College of Education students with an opportunity to present their scholarly work to a supportive and engaged audience, and to encourage lively dialogue among students and faculty about educational issues of common interest.
