Clinical Experiences:

Fall 2020: All clinical experiences are suspended for the fall 2020 semester with the exception of some practicum and internship experiences. Instructors will adjust the requirements for the courses that require field experience. Practicum and Student Teachers will receive communication about the requirements of these courses from instructors as it becomes available.

Spring 2021: The deadline to submit a Spring 2021 Student Teaching Application was September 15th and the deadline to submit all passing scores of the FTCE is November 15th. We will continue to monitor the testing situation and will adjust this deadline if necessary. At this time, decisions about virtual vs. in-person clinical experiences are still pending. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update this information as it becomes available.


Student Advising

Formal Programming Process for Undergraduates

To stay on track in their program, all undergraduate students must meet all lower division requirements and formal admissions requirements as follows:

Elementary, Exceptional, and Secondary Education

  • 60 Credit hours with a cumulative 2.5 GPA
  • Pass all sections of the General Knowledge Test and submit official passing score report to OASS

Early Care and Education

  • 60 Credit hours with a cumulative 2.5 GPA
