Apply to FAU

Before you begin your application, use this guide to determine your admissions classification.

Freshmen/First Year Students

Students who are in 12th grade and applying for admission immediately following high school graduation, or students who graduated high school and did not earn more than 12 college credits after graduation.

Transfer Students

Students who earned 12 or more college credits after high school graduation or completed an associate’s degree from a state or community college.

Returning FAU students.

Students pursuing a second bachelor’s degree.

Graduate Students

Students who received an undergraduate degree and are considering a master’s, doctoral, or specialist degree program.

Freshmen Applications

Freshmen students may choose to apply to FAU through our FAU Online Application or the Common Application. If interested in the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College, use the Wilkes Honors College Common App. Students should only submit one application for admission to FAU.

  1. Complete and submit the online application and pay the non-refundable $30 application fee.
  2. Submit your Self-reported Student Academic Record.
  3. Submit your SAT/ACT test scores.

Transfer Applications
