Graduate Student Mary Rasura holding First Place award in LGBTQ+ Coverage
received for OutFAU from the Sunshine State Awards for excellence in
Florida journalism.
Mary Rasura is a M.A. student majoring in sociology in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters. She is the founder and former executive director of OutFAU, FAU's student-run LGTBQ+ publication, where she now serves as an advisor. Under her leadership, OutFAU has received statewide, regional, and national recognition for excellence in journalism. She also works as a freelance journalist, with bylines in GO Magazine, OutSFL, The Homeless Voice, and Stet News.
