Robert Huff was a sculpture professor at Miami Dade College and chairman of its art department, as well as a widely-exhibited artist. Working primarily in South Florida and the Appalachian mountains of Virginia, he was highly influenced by the land around him and had a versatile career as a painter, printmaker, and sculptor. He was prolific in the field of public art, with numerous public art commissions throughout Florida. Huff passed away at age 69 on August 22, 2014, the artist was widely mourned in South Florida.
