FAU SOA WELCOMES | LESLIE LOK | FALL ’25/SPRING ’26 LECTURE SERIES

Wednesday, Apr 01, 2026
A larger than life, sculptural architectural installation stands in a wooded landscape, with layered light-colored surfaces, dark openings, and a central vertical element. A person stands in front of the structure for scale.

The FAU School of Architecture is pleased to announce a lecture with Leslie Lok, Partner at Hanna and Associate Professor at Cornell University, on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 3 p.m. in the Broward County Main Library Auditorium.

Leslie Lok’s work explores the intersection of architecture, fabrication, and emerging technologies, with a focus on innovative material systems and computational design. As a partner at Hanna and an associate professor at Cornell, Lok brings together professional practice and academic research to investigate new approaches to building, making, and architectural experimentation.

In her work with Hanna, Lok contributes to projects that advance contemporary design through a blend of technical rigor, material exploration, and conceptual clarity. Her research and teaching at Cornell further expand these themes, engaging questions of construction, digital methods, and the evolving role of architecture in contemporary culture.

This lecture offers an opportunity for students, faculty, and the broader community to hear from a leading voice in architectural practice and education. All are welcome to attend.
