Wednesday, Oct 07, 2026
Florida Atlantic University’s School of Architecture proudly congratulates Professor Jeffrey Huber on being named Architectural Record’s 2026 Rising Professional . The award recognizes his impact on the profession through his work as an architect, landscape architect, and educator.
Huber is a principal at Brooks Scarpa Huber Architects, where he manages the firm’s South Florida studio and directs its planning, urban design, and landscape-driven work. In announcing the honor, Architectural Record highlighted his commitment to education, his involvement with the American Institute of Architects at the local and national levels, and his public space projects that integrate environmental performance with design excellence, including DC Alexander Park in Fort Lauderdale.
The recognition reflects the connections between Huber’s professional practice and his research and teaching at FAU. His work in housing, public space, and resilient coastal design connects students with contemporary architectural challenges and community-focused approaches to design.
Huber will be recognized alongside fellow honorees Elizabeth Diller, cofounding partner of Diller Scofidio + Renfro and recipient of the Architect of RECORD award, and Thomas Robinson, founder of Lever Architecture and recipient of the Innovator award. The awards ceremony will follow Architectural Record’s Innovation Conference on November 4, 2026, at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City.
