The Florida Atlantic University School of Architecture welcomes Daniel Koehler, Assistant Professor of Architecture at The University of Texas at Austin and co-founder of the Lab for Environmental Design Strategies (lab-eds), for a lecture on Monday, October 12, at 3 PM in the MetroLAB.

Koehler's research explores the intersection of architecture, computation, and generative artificial intelligence, examining how emerging technologies can reshape architectural typology, material systems, and urban design. His recent book, Compositional Intelligence: Architectural Typology through Generative AI (Routledge), investigates how large-scale AI models offer new approaches to understanding and designing the built environment.

Koehler's work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Centre Pompidou and Venice Architecture Biennale. Through lab-eds, he advances research connecting computational design with environmental performance, architectural materials, and urban systems.
