BARRY WARK | "SPECULATIONS ON AN ECOCENTRIC ARCHITECTURE" KICKS OFF THE SOA'S FALL '23/SPRING '24 LECTURE SERIES

Barry Wark visits FAU SoA on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, presenting "Speculations on an Ecocentric Architecture" to kick off the Get Lectured: Florida Atlantic University, Fall '23/Spring '24 Lecture Series. The lecture begins at 3 PM at the Main Library and will share some ideas focused on ecological aesthetics in architecture that attempt to navigate our rapidly evolving relationship with the cultural concept of ‘nature’. Arguing for ecocentrism, weathering, and an architecture of parts, the presentation will outline why these topics are essential for the built environment and how they are explored through a series of projects.
