Housing renewals

Housing Renewals will take place January 26th - February 2nd for Fall 2026 – Spring 2027 .

All processed end promptly at 5:00 p.m. on February 2nd. All steps must be completed online at housingportal.fau.edu


Housing renewals are available January 26th – February 2nd for current Boca Raton and Jupiter Spring residential students. The housing application and roommate matching will be completed online through the Housing Portal using your FAU NetID and password.

Important Things to Know

  • Spring residents who renew DO NOT pay the $100 non-refundable application fee.
  • Application completion date is NOT used for housing assignment order.
  • Residents will gain access to complete a housing application based on their current Spring residence hall.

Housing Assignment Process

We anticipate high demand with limited spaces for returning students. Assignments will be determined by:

  1. Priority Group
  2. Tuition Deposit Date (not the housing application date)
  3. For roommate groups: the year of entry and the tuition deposit date for all group members

 

Priority Groups

1st Priority Group Spring residents who started Summer and Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 as a first-year student.
2nd Priority Group Spring residents who started in 2024 or Spring 2025 and Transfer students who started in 2025 or 2026.
3rd Priority Group Spring residents who started in 2023.
4th Priority Group Spring residents who started in 2022.
5th Priority Group Spring resident Graduate students and 2nd bachelor degree students.

 

  • Priority Groups 4 and 5 are expected to be placed on a waitlist.
  • Graduate/2nd bachelor’s waitlist order is based on acceptance date.

Important Dates:

  • February 20th: Assignment and waitlist notifications emailed.
  • February 27th by 5:00 p.m.: Deadline to cancel without penalty
  • February 27th after 5:00 p.m.: Housing Terms and Conditions apply, cancellations must meet criteria in Section 10 of the Housing application Terms and Conditions

  • Talon Hall (Opening Fall 2026)
    • Single room in a 3 bedroom/1 bath suite,
    • Very limited: Single room suite with private bathroom (only 14 rooms available)
  • Parliament Hall (Meal plan required)
    • Single room, a 4 bedroom/2 bath suite
    • Double room in a 4 person/2 bath suite
  • University Village Apartments
    • Single room in a 4 bedroom/1 bath apartment
    • Studio double (2-person shared sleeping area)
  • Innovation Village Apartments (North & South)
    • Single room in a 4 bedroom/2 bath apartment
    • (IVAN only) Single room in a 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment

    • Single room in a 4 bedroom/1 bath suite
    • Shared double room in a 2 person/1 bath suite

Steps to Renew Your Housing Application

  1. Select the 2026 – 2027 Academic Year application.
  2. Complete the DocuSign Terms & Condtions and click Save and Continue.
  3. Review your Personal Details and update your cell phone number.
  4. Update your Emergency Contact.
  5. Complete your Missing Person Contact.
  6. Answer the General Questions (including Inclusive Housing). Important: Your answer to Inclusive housing must match the answer to any friend(s) you plan to request as a roommate.
  7. Add three Room Type Preferences (see room rates webpage for details).
  8. Complete Lifestyle Questions.
    1. If you want roommate matching, check “Display in Roommate Search results”
  9. Select a Meal plan if required (Parliament Hall and all Jupiter residents).
  10. Enter your Z number on the confirmation page to submit your application.
  11. Check your FAU email for the confirmation message.
  12. If requesting roommates, return to the application to start or accept roommate group requests. (Roommates must have completed their 2026 – 2027 application.)
