Smart Fridge

Abstract

The aim of this project is to develop a Smart Fridge that will automatically track the inventory of the fridge and notify the owner if some of the items need to be re-purchased soon. The Smart Fridge will keep track of everything the user bought and have an inventory check of the items that are there. Weight sensors will be placed on all refrigerator shelves that are customizable with a companion app. The app will check the amount of each individual item through a percentage using its weighted value. If the specific item reaches below a certain percentage, the user will then be notified. The app will also communicate with a grocery delivery service that will automatically update the user’s shopping cart. If the user prefers to do the shopping themselves, then their grocery list is already made for them.
