Student Success Groups (SSG)

CLASS is introducing a new academic support program, titled Student Success Groups (SSG). This is a new structured study program that will involve small groups of students that will have scheduled meeting times with an SSG leader. The SSG leader will lead an assigned number of study groups per week for each cohort of students.

At the beginning of the semester, students will sign up for a cohort that will have scheduled meeting times and locations. Once students sign up for a cohort, they are required to attend and participate in their cohort throughout the semester.

How to Sign-up:

SSG groups are course and section specific, meaning only students enrolled in participating course sections can sign up to join a group. If you are in one of the courses listed, the QR code to sign up is located on you course's Canvas page!

What does an SSG session look like?

An SSG session will look distinct for each course discipline. Sessions will average 1.5 hours and will involve the selection of faculty approved topics to review. SSG sessions will focus on study strategies and techniques in being successful in the course. There will also be opportunities for specific course content review.
