Arantxa Mubarak, Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship Recipient

Marketing major, Arantxa Mubarak, is one of our astonishing PHI THETA KAPPA recipients. Arantxa was born and raised in Lima, Peru, lived in Virginia for three years and moved to Florida in 2020 to pursue her marketing degree. Throughout her years in school, she has obtained certifications as an accounting technology specialist and business specialist. In addition, Arantxa is part of the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success and aspires to become a marketing specialist or director. Arantxa finds herself coming up with new ideas and writing them down when walking or going to school and assists with sharing ideas for events and helping with designs when working.

Arantxa got involved with PHI THETA KAPPA in the summer of 2022. After researching the honor society, she immediately applied and became a member. The honor society has provided her with many benefits, such as the ability to join meetings on leadership, access to tools that help students succeed in school and after graduation, letters of recommendation, and various scholarship opportunities. Arantxa joined FAU because the marketing program was attractive and the classes offered piqued her interest. She was even able to participate in an internship to gain professional experience while simultaneously fulfilling her class credits.

Arantxa is a junior and describes herself as creative, consistent, and kind. She expects to graduate in the fall semester of 2024, and after graduation, she plans to start working in a marketing position while doing her master’s degree.

So far, Aranxta enjoys having classes in person which gives her the motivation to go to classes, the ability to ask questions, provide and receive feedback, and network with her classmates and professors. She also enjoys the library and its resources, free tutoring, campus events, and activities. To stay motivated and focused in school, she stays organized with assignments and keeps an agenda to do them ahead of time because she loves the accomplishment of receiving good grades. Being organized also allows her to manage her schoolwork with her part-time job while still having the ability to have personal time.

In her spare time, Aranxta enjoys listening to Taylor Swift and One Direction and working on her photography business - her artwork was even displayed at the Freer Gallery of Art!
