Jeffrey Huber, Professor in the School of Architecture, has been named the 2026 Rising Professional from “Architectural Record,” the most circulated and longest-running architecture magazine in the world. This recognition is awarded to one architect internationally each year who is under the age of 50.

Huber was recognized for the impact he is making on the profession. A devoted educator, he teaches upper division courses at FAU, lecturing on housing, urban design, and materials and methods of construction. His work focuses on interdisciplinary public work projects that combine ecological, landscape, urban, and architectural design. Huber is also a principal in the internationally recognized firm of Brooks + Scarpa and manages their South Florida office. He is currently researching issues of sea-level rise in south Florida and has established nearly a million dollars in grant funding in that effort through the National Endowment of the Arts, NOAA/ Florida Sea Grant and AIA grant programs.

Huber will be recognized in a ceremony following Architectural Record’s Innovation Conference on November 4, 2026, in New York City.
