Betty Gold graduated from the University of Texas with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Art History. Gold is now an established, internationally known professional artist who has shown in over one hundred thirty solo and group exhibitions in her career and currently has work in more than seventy-five permanent collections around the world. A painter and a sculptor, Gold's work is based on geometric concept- always beginning with the simple act of folding a piece of paper to make a rectangular structure which she then deconstructs and reassembles.
