Chat GPT in the English Classroom; Hacks & Snacks w/ University Instructor Richard Potter

Teacher Hacks and Snacks Presents
Welcome to the Machine: The Benefits & Hazards of ChatGPT in the English Classroom
Presented by University Instructor Richard Potter
 Wednesday, February 1, at 1:00pm | Zoom

Well, it has happened. One of our own has had a student use AI (artificial intelligence) to complete a writing assignment in one of their classes. And, there is a good chance that it has happened to the rest of us and we just didn’t realize it. The number of students who are using AI (artificial intelligence) to complete writing assignments is on the rise. In our first Hacks and Snacks of the semester, University Instructor Richard Potter will discuss how AI generated writing can and will impact the way we teach. Ways to spot AI generated student writing and upholding ethical writing practices (does AI generated writing violate our Code of Academic Integrity?) will be topics of discussion as well.

You will not want to miss this presentation, so please mark you calendars and make plans to join us on Wednesday, February 1, at 1:00 p.m. (on Zoom) as Richard Potter leads what is sure to be an interesting and helpful discussion on the use of AI in our classes.
