Exciting News!

Six essays by FAU Comparative Studies Ph.D. students have been published in The Invading Sea: Theorizing Infrastructure

These essays reflect work from the Ph.D. seminar Theorizing Infrastructures, taught by Dr. Balkan. The papers focuses on the students capstone project—“building” a speculative shared-use infrastructure in South Florida.

Thanks to editor Nathan Crabbe, who generously edited and published the essays alongside several of our students’ truly impressive projects. Six student essays are featured, authored by Maryam Badiei, Alex Banks, Alexander Veal, Olawale Oladokun, Alicia Sowisdral, and Hassan Pishahang
