PhD Student Alex Banks Upcoming Publications

Exciting News! Alex Banks, a Comparative Studies student in the CLL track, has two upcoming publications in the Journal of the Fantastic in the Arts (JFA). First, he has written a book review of Maia Gil’adí’s Doom Patterns: Latinx Speculations and the Aesthetics of Violence, published in 2025 with Duke University Press. Second, the JFA has offered to publish his essay “Magneto’s Power to Survive the Holocaust: Examining the Fantastic Relationship Between Character and Setting in Greg Pak’s X-Men: Magneto Testament.”
