FAU Mental Health Services for Veterans

CAPS – is here to support your mental health needs as you make the transition into student life and recognize that returning service men and women are a growing part of our university community and one of the biggest issues facing combat veterans especially is social isolation. Providing individual, couples, family, and group counseling, and offer resources for community support services. FAU CAPS Crisis Line is a free service provided by FAU. SAS – provides a number of services to veterans with disabilities. In addition to providing academic accommodations and physical access to all areas of FAU campuses, they work with each student personally to supply referrals to other FAU support services as well as agencies within the community. C-P.A.W.W – is a Health Research Initiative for Veterans with the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing (FAU-Boca). established in October 2013 the C-P.A.W.W. initiative are to advance the health and well-being of members of the armed forces. At C-P.A.W.W., we are committed to the evolution of nursing knowledge within the context of research, education and practice in order to better assist the military population.
