Florida Atlantic Welcomes our 2026-2027 Military-connected Students!
On August 25, 2026, the Division of Student Affairs and Military and Veterans Student Success (MVSS) team held a very special Military Connections Welcome Event to welcome and receive new military-connected students, military family members, Veterans, and FAU Army ROTC Talon Battalion Cadets for academic years 2026-2027.
Welcoming new military-connected students and families were President Adam Hasner, First Lady Jill Hasner, Dr. Larry Faerman, Vice President of Student Affairs, Lieutenant Colonel Keith Weaver III, Professor of Military Science, Talon Battalion, FAU Army ROTC, Jack Nixon, Student Government, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nicholas Special, Student Government, Attorney General, Jason Nadolinski, Director, MVSS, and the MVSS team. Leaders and success partners from key service and support areas, including Counseling and Psychological Services, Student Accessibility Services, University Advising Services, Math Learning Center, University Center for Excellence in Writing, Career Services, Student Veterans of America | Veteran Owls, Family Engagement, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs - VET Center, and the Military Chaplain liaison presented vital resources and opportunities for the FAU military-connected student community.
Florida Atlantic's thriving military-connected student community includes students who are serving on active duty, selected reserve, national guard, as well as Veterans, Florida Atlantic Army ROTC Talon Battalion Cadets, U.S. Coast Guard Officer Trainees, U.S. Air Force ROTC Cadets, and our very special military families.
