Dylan Aguirre Vargas

Hello, I am Dylan Aguirre and I am a sophomore pursuing a bachelors in Exercise Science with a Concentration in PT/OT. I am also a first-generation student who is passionate about fitness, the human body, and learning more every day. I’m very excited to be part of the SOAR-IN-4 program which will help me surround myself with mentors as well as like-minded students striving for more.

Maryam Alrekabi

HI OWLS!!!! I'm Maryam, a chemistry major with a passion for volunteering and giving back to my community whenever I can. I'm incredibly grateful to be part of the SOAR-IN-4 program and excited to meet everyone, build new connections, and take full advantage of the opportunities and experiences this program has to offer. Arantxa Arevalo

Hello! My name is Arantxa Arevalo and I am a Biology major at FAU with the future goal of becoming a pediatric surgeon. I am excited to connect with people that share the same interest in science and medicine. My name is Jeffrey Bazan, and I am from Cape Coral, Florida. I am currently a junior pursuing a degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology. Following graduation, I plan to attend graduate school to earn my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology. I am very excited to be a part of the Soar in 4 program and am looking forward to my future here at FAU!"

Nadia Bissoondial

Hi my name is Nadia and I am from South Florida. Here at FAU, I am majoring in Exercise Science/Health Promotion. I plan to become a pediatric occupational therapist in the future and one of my main goals is to become more involved and gain much experience related to my field. I feel that the SOAR-IN-4 program will open new opportunities for me and allow me to become more active in college life.

Mariia Bozhko

Hello! My name is Mariia Bozhko, I am Ukrainian, and I am an upcoming sophomore at FAU pursuing a bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and Behavior. My plans are to attend medical school and get a master's degree in Developmental Psychology, with aspirations to become a Pediatric Psychiatrist. It is an absolute honor to be part of the SOAR-IN-4 program, and I cannot wait to explore all the opportunities this program has to offer!

Sanika Burkule

Hello! My name is Sanika Burkule, and I am majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior. I have always been fascinated by how the brain works, and I aspire to go to medical school to become a pediatrician so that I can combine that passion with my love for working with kids! Jennifer Cassidy

My name is Jennifer Cassidy, and I am studying Exercise Science as I prepare for a future career as a Physician Assistant. I look forward to continuing my education and developing the knowledge and skills needed to make a positive difference in healthcare. My name is Imrana Cheema, and I am an upcoming sophomore majoring in Biology. I aspire to go to medical school after completing my undergraduate degree. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this program and look forward to my future at FAU!

Mridu Dhanigond

Hello! My name is Mridu Dhanigond, and I am a sophomore at Florida Atlantic University majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior with a minor in Psychology. I am on the pre-med track and aspire to attend medical school and become a physician. I currently work as a Medical Assistant in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, participate in research at FAU, and am a member of the FAU Club Tennis team. Anna Duong

My name is Anna Duong, and I am an incoming sophomore who is majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior at Florida Atlantic University. I am also on a pre-med track, with the hopes of attending medical school one day and achieving one of my long-term goals of becoming a cardiac surgeon. Outside of academics, I enjoy spending time with my friends, baking, and playing pickleball. I am honored to be a part of the SOAR-in-4 Program, as it allows me to meet like-minded peers and to utilize different opportunities that can be beneficial in the future.

Steven Fischer

My name is Steven Fischer and I am a Chemistry-BS major! I have always had a passion for science ever since I was little. Now I look forward to learning new topics and doing hands-on work in the labs. I hope to specialize in either material science, nuclear science, or quantum science. I can't wait to continue pursuing my interests and meeting others who are just as interested as I am. You'll catch me at Dunkin in the morning for my well-needed cup of coffee.

Gabriella Gentilhomme

My name is Gabrielle White; however, most people just call me Gaby. I'm a Chemistry major on my way to becoming a medical doctor specializing in emergency medicine or anesthesiology. Throughout my first year of college, I learned that it's important to have hobbies outside of school. While I have a passion for learning, I also love to play games on multiple platforms such as my Nintendo Switch 2 and gaming desktop. As I get further into the pursuit of my career, I realize that finding a balance between school and recreation is the key to success in life. I hope to make my years in undergrad school count!

My name is Lacee Ginga, and I am a Medical Biology major at Florida Atlantic University. I aspire to attend medical school and pursue a career as a physician. Bella Krayzman

I am an incoming second-year Psychology student at Florida Atlantic University and a member of the University Honors Program. As an out-of-state student from Wisconsin, I am excited to continue growing both academically and personally at FAU. I am passionate about understanding human behavior and look forward to exploring opportunities for research, leadership, and community involvement as a SOAR-IN-4 Scholar.

Hello! My name is Izarah Laurent, and I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in health science with a Behavioral and Mental Health concentration and a minor in Psychology. I am very passionate about mental health and the inner workings of the brain. My future goal is to go to nursing school so that I can ultimately become a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Regina Lewis

Hello! My name is Regina Lewis, a second-year senior studying Urban Design. I am from Central Florida and am passionate about making environments that everyone can enjoy. One of my goals is to create a city that centers around public transportation and green, public spaces. Through the SOAR-IN-4 program, I hope to not only grow myself as a student but to grow my professional skills as well.

Hello, my name is Amanda Lima, and I am majoring in biology with a concentration in veterinary medicine. I am currently a sophomore, and I work as a veterinary assistant at a clinic. I am excited to be a part of the College of Science SOAR-In-4 program.

Kyle Loh

My name is Kyle Loh, and I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at FAU. My goal is to attend a mathematics PhD program and eventually lead my own research lab in applied mathematics and machine learning. I look forward to participating in the SOAR-IN-4 program and connecting with other future scientists

I am a Biological Sciences major at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science with a passion for biology, chemistry, and healthcare. I plan to pursue a career in pediatrics, where I hope to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families. Outside of academics, I enjoy serving my community and spending quality time with friends and family.

Alexandria McRath

My name is Alexandria McRath, and I am a sophomore at FAU majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior on the pre-medical track. My four-year goal is to become an adolescent psychiatrist with the goal of one day opening my own private practice. I am very involved in research here at FAU as well as being involved in several clubs and being a mentor. I am very blessed to be a part of the SOAR-IN-4 program and cannot wait to see the opportunities it brings me.

Amoy Morgan

My name is Amoy Morgan, and I am currently a second-year student pursuing my bachelor’s degree in urban design.  I hope to graduate in 3 years and plan to continue my education to earn a master’s in urban and regional planning. In the future, I want to contribute to creating green, sustainable, and smart cities, specifically from a design perspective. Aside from that, my favorite pastimes would be traveling, painting, and crocheting. I look forward to the growth and opportunities this program will bring during my time here at FAU!

Abby Newman

Hi! My name is Abby Newman, and I'm a Biology major here at Florida Atlantic University on the pre-physician assistant track. I originally moved down to Florida from Georgia, and I've really loved making my this my new home. I'm so excited and honored to be part of the SOAR-IN-4 program in the College of Science!  

After I graduate, my goal is to attend PA school and build a career in healthcare where I can make a direct impact on my community. When I'm not studying or in class, I work locally and spend a lot of my free time professional dog sitting, I'm a huge animal lover! I'm really looking forward to the rest of my time at FAU and taking advantage of everything this program has to offer. Go Owls!

Kosisonna Nzewi

Hello, my name is Kosisonna but I go by Kosi, I’m 18 years old and a rising Sophomore at FAU. I’m currently studying neuroscience with future hopes of becoming a psychiatrist and conducting or involving myself in neuroscientific research, and I aim to graduate by the year 2028. I’m a member of Black Men in Medicine (BMM), the American Medic Student Association (AMSA), FAU Lifeline and Psychology club. I also volunteer with Trustbridge and enjoy going to the gym and beach in my free time.

Hello! My name is Brooklyn Scavo, and I am a Neuroscience and Behavior major at Florida Atlantic University with plans to attend medical school after graduation. I have always been interested in the brain and how medicine can improve people’s lives, which led me to pursue neuroscience, get involved in research, and become a part of FAU’s NSF LEARN research program. Hi, my name is Denzel da Costa, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Behavior at Florida Atlantic University. I am on the pre-health track with the goal of becoming a neurosurgeon. Deeply fascinated by the brain and how it shapes who we are, how we perceive and how we function, I hope to contribute one day to research that helps improve mental health and neurological care. Being accepted into the SOAR-IN-4 program was a huge milestone for me, it represents not only a recognition of academic potential, but also a commitment to staying focused, driven, and on track. Outside of academics, I enjoy learning new things, spending time with family and friends, and staying curious.

Ava Gill

Hello! My name is Ava Gill, and I am a sophomore from New Jersey pursuing a B.S. in Medical Biology.  My drive to attend optometry school began after undergoing surgery in 2017 to remove a colorless nevus in my left eye. It has been my goal to focus on my vision health and give back to those who have helped me.  Outside the classroom,  I am an active member of Theta Phi Alpha sorority and serve as the President of the women's lacrosse team. I am honored to be a part of SOAR- IN-4,  which has so much to offer, and I am beyond grateful for the opportunities that lie ahead. Go Owls!

Ashlyn Hightower

Hey! My name is Ashlyn Hightower, and I am currently studying neuroscience with plans to attend medical school after undergrad. My ultimate goal is to get into residency to become a dermatologist and then to go on to be a MOHS surgeon. I love school and dedicate a lot of my time to my studies but in my free time I am a part of the club cheer team and enjoy going to the beach, traveling, and shopping! I am very grateful and excited to be a part of the Soar-in-4 program to help connect me with likeminded individuals and guide and teach me along this journey.

Hello! My name is Mikayla Jeanty, and I am majoring in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. I am currently looking into opportunities for me to gain medical health experience and patient care hours. My name is Uriel Pavolotzky Szuster and I live in South Florida. I am very honored and grateful to be a part of the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science’s Soar in Four program. I started FAU in the fall of 2024 and am currently pursuing a BS in Biological Sciences.

Shahd Sabouni

Hi! My name is Shahd Sabouni, and I am a sophomore majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior. I plan to attend medical school and pursue a career in pediatrics because I have always loved working with children, with the goal of eventually subspecializing. I am very grateful to be part of the Soar-In-4 program and I truly look forward to continuing my journey toward becoming a physician.

Alana Semashko

I am a sophomore at Florida Atlantic University, majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior. My goal is to become a neurologist, so I can help diagnose and treat brain disorders. As neurological conditions continue to advance, I am passionate about contributing to medicine that brings patients hope and improves their quality of life. I am driven because I want to understand the brain better and play a role in developing more effective treatments for those affected by these complex disorders.

Hello! My name is Jolinn Anunciacion, and I am majoring in neuroscience and behavior. My career goal is to attend medical school or become an anesthesiologist assistant. Currently, I am working as a pharmacy technician in the hospital to gain experience in the healthcare field. Macy Butler

Hello! My name is Macy Butler, and I am a first-year student pursuing a B.S. in Biology at FAU. It is with great honor to be a part of this program, and to work alongside students who are equally as driven and passionate about science as myself! I aspire to become an Optometrist after my time here at Florida Atlantic, and I am beyond thrilled to see how this program can assist my learning and further my interests in the healthcare field.

Hi, my name is Sophia D’Alto and I am from Long Island, New York. I am a freshman here at FAU and I am majoring in Psychology. My goal for the future is to become a child psychologist because I have always had an interest in helping children. I would love to be able to work in a school and then eventually work in a private practice. I am very grateful to be a member of this program because I believe it will introduce me to new opportunities and help me achieve my goals.

My name is Lawson Demetrius, and I am a first-year at FAU! Currently majoring in Biochemistry. I have a love for chemistry, and aspire to apply my interests in the United States Military post graduation. Outside of school I love to spend my free time scuba diving and love the beach!

Hello! My name is Ivanna Diaz, I am originally from Caracas, Venezuela. I am pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience & Behavior. My dream is to become a physician and specialize in pediatrics. I want to be able to help kids be advocates for their own health and learn to bridge the gap between patients and Healthcare providers, emphasizing the importance of clear communication and understanding in medical interactions. Hi, my name is Zara and I’m originally from New Mexico. I am now a freshman majoring in Neuroscience & Behavior, as well as a research assistant in the psychology department here at FAU. My goals are to go to grad school, become a clinical psychologist, and continue to be involved in research. I love learning about how the mind works through different scientific perspectives, and would love to help people with the knowledge and skills I gain. Nathania Elysha Isvaran

Hello! My name is Nathania Elysha Isvaran, and I am from Malaysia. I am currently a freshman in pursuit of a B.S. in Neuroscience and Behavior. Due to my profound interest in the brain and medicine overall, my goal is to attend medical school and eventually become a neurosurgeon. Besides medicine, I am also passionate about singing and drawing, which I practice in my free time to unwind. Sakshi Kumari Pandit

 Hello, beautiful Owls!! My name is Sakshi Kumari Pandit. I can't believe I have such an amazing opportunity to be a contributor to the Soars-in-4 Scholar program. I plan to make a successful contribution to this established program and become a proud alumnus. I am a current FAU undergraduate student majoring in the Medical Biology BS program. I aspire to double major in Chemistry and minor in Dance (I love dancing)! My plan is to attend medical school with a focus on neurological surgery, as there is no other part of the body that I believe is as fascinating as the BRAIN. In addition, my future goals lie in keeping up in the medical industry and researching the ideas that pop up in my mind. My hobby is studying space science, and I am curious about space medicine, a field not very well known.. therefore, I plan to integrate this field in the future with my many aspirations. Go Owls!! Greetings everyone! My name is Widely and I am a pre-med student majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior. I am from Naples, FL (on the opposite coast) and I’m really excited about the future opportunities and resources I’ll be maximizing on from Soar-in-4. My current goal is to be one of the best students academically and socially while making the most of my time here. Furthermore, my future goals are to be a well-rounded physician and create a non-profit for children at risk. 

Jada Reed

Hello! My name is Jada, and I am pursuing a B.S. in Geosciences- Geography Focus. I am incredibly honored to be part of the Soar-in-4 Program here at Florida Atlantic. After graduating from FAU, I plan to steer towards meteorology and help develop ways to understand how natural disasters work and how to help local communities prepare for such disasters. Growing up, I have always been fascinated with storms and have been learning to understand how they work. I am beyond excited to be surrounded by my peers who share similar interests with great help from the student success team to help guide me towards my goals!

Hello, my name is Alessandro Sanzone and I am from Wildwood, New Jersey. I am majoring in Exercise Science in hopes of one day opening my own Physical Therapy practice. I also hope to be able to be a PT for a professional sports team one day. I have chosen this path because athletics and exercise have been a big part of my life. Hello! My name is Reem Zarour, and I’m a second-year biology major at FAU with plans to pursue a career in medicine as a physician or physician assistant. I’m certified as an electrocardiographic technician and medical assistant, and Ive been working in dermatology as an MA for about two years, with prior experience in internal medicine. Sadine Al-Farauki

Hello! My name is Sadine Al-Farauki, and I am a sophomore pursuing a Biology degree here at Florida Atlantic University. I have aspirations of going to medical school and becoming a physician one day. I hope to match into oncology and specialize further. In high school, I became a certified medical assistant and certified EKG technician. Since then, I have worked in the healthcare field for about 3 years now and have enjoyed every second of it. I love caring for my patients and ensuring they get the best treatment possible. I look forward to all the ups and downs life has to offer and being able to tackle them head-on.

Hi, my name is Constance Barrett but, normally I go by Connie. I hope to pursue a B.S. Degree in chemistry and a minor in Criminal Justice. My goal for the future is to work in the forensic science field, specifically forensic chemistry. I believe this program will help me strive towards my goal in having a successful career.

Hello, fellow Owls! I am originally from North Carolina but have spent the last six years here in South Florida and am a former homeschooler. I am passionate about animals, advocacy and enjoy volunteering at an area animal rescue as well as spending time assisting those with dementia. Additionally, I am grateful to be a part of the Soar in 4 program, where I can receive mentorship and research opportunities. As a Biological Sciences major, my plan after graduation is to attend medical school.

Hi, I am Shreyansh K Patel, an undergraduate here at FAU. I am majoring in Biological Science and am an international student from India. I am currently in my freshmen year and have been selected for this program. I am very passionate about socializing with people and also have a strong interest in painting. I even represented my school in all state painting competition. I am very happy and delighted to be a part of this esteemed program and am looking forward to building new connections and relationships by participating in activities organized by the SOAR organization.

I took a gap year abroad before beginning my pre-med track majoring in neuroscience and behavior. I'm considering switching to pre-health/nursing with the ultimate goal of becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Jonathan Turner

Hello! My name is Jonathan Turner, and I am from Sweden. I am currently a sophomore pursuing a B.S. in mathematics. After my undergraduate studies, I plan on continuing college and gaining a master's in mathematics. I have yet to find a specific career I want to pursue. However, I know I want to work with mathematics in the future. My interests include math, being out in nature, and listening to music; I jam to mostly anything from the '70s, '80s, and '90s. I am grateful to be a part of the Soar-in-4 program and excited for the opportunities it offers.

Gabriel Vieira

My name is gabriel vieira, I am a sophomore in medical biology. My goal is to become an anesthesiologist, graduate with a bachelors, and come back to FAU in the future to obtain a specialization and masters. I wish to become the kind of doctor that the patient can laugh with and feel relieved going into any examination, operation, or counseling with. I hope to be able to work together well with all my colleagues, being knowledgeable enough to even give advice on topics not of my specialization. I am currently a full-time student being interviewed for medical positions such as medical scribe to be able to obtain relevant experience and simultaneously excel in school and study. My own personal achievements are limited to school having achieved a gpa of 4.8 in high school and a current 4.0 in college alongside obtaining multiple scholarships through demanding work and having had worked a job in the past as a shift manager in a firehouse subs! Overall while living a normal, uneventful life I feel very fulfilled in my day to day and continue to work hard to one day be able to take what makes me ordinary and make it extraordinary and help others in my future career.
