I am Laura Arbo and I am majoring in Biological Sciences. Born and raised in Brazil, I came to Florida with my mom five years ago in hopes of getting a better academic future. I would like to work with animals or environmental conservation, since that has been my passion since I was a little kid. After getting my bachelor's degree, I would like to go after my master's.

 

 

 

Vanessa Belizaire Vanessa Belizaire

I am originally from the Caribbean, St-Martin (the french side). Therefore, I am French of Haitian origins. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. I hope to enroll in medical school to become a pediatrician upon college graduation. My goal through this career path is to help underdeveloped countries get better opportunities for their health.

Hi, my name is Catherine Chen but I typically go by Cat. I am pursuing a B.S. in Biological Sciences and hope to become a veterinarian one day. I joined Soar in 4 as a freshman in 2021 because I knew it would help me stay on track while pursuing my 4-year degree.

My name is Ernesto, and I am majoring in exercise science and health promotion. My main goal is to become a physical therapist but also focus on trying to learn chiropractic during my career path. I have chosen this major because I enjoy health and fitness to help people. I believe this program can help me achieve my goals and introduce me to new opportunities.

I am originally from Montego Bay, Jamaica and my aspiration in life is to become an exceptional physical therapist. My chosen major is Exercise Science and Health Promotion which was sparked from my love for the human body and how much of an anomaly it is. Although my long term career goal will take years of studying I continue to find different ways to make my mark in the health industry until then.

Hello, my name is Nick I am 19 years old and I’m from Boca Raton. I am a biology major in my junior year; after graduation I aspire to go to medical school to one day hopefully become a dermatologist. I’m having a great experience at FAU so far and I look forward to enjoying the rest of my college experience during the remaining courses I have left.

Hi, my name is Alyssa Espejo and I'm from Sunrise, Florida. Currently, I'm pursuing a Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry. I plan to attend medical school eventually and specialize in pediatrics or emergency medicine. It's been my biggest goal for as long as I can remember.

 

 

 

Eleni Feliz Eleni Feliz

Hello, My name is Eleni Feliz and I am currently in my second year at FAU. I am majoring in neuroscience with a minor in psychology. I have a strong passion for medicine, so I strive to learn as much about human physiology and anatomy as possible. I have a particular interest in neuroanatomy and psychology. My future plans include graduating from the Summer Health Professions Program, as well as the Soar in 4 Program, starting to do clinical work, continuing volunteering at the children's hospital, and eventually going to medical school as my aspirations are to become a surgeon and save lives within my community.

I am Charlotte Fieffe and I am majoring in Biology on the pre-health student track. I aspire to attend medical school to become a Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgeon. While at FAU I aim to become part of biological sciences/ molecular biology research. My hobbies consist of reading, playing the piano/ violin, and learning new languages.

Hi, I am Addison Goguen and I am from Fort Myers, FL. I am an exercise science and health promotion major at FAU. Besides school, I am also on the FAU dance team. I am an extremely hard worker in everything I do, because I know it requires nothing less. I am very excited to be a part of this program, and to see how far I go in the next years of this chapter.

Jerson Millan Jerson Millan

My name is Jerson Millan and majoring in Biological Sciences B.S. I was adopted from Guatemala, grew up in Indiana, and moved to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida in 2015. My goal is to follow in my father’s footsteps, who is a retired neurosurgeon, and attend medical school specializing in orthopedics with a sub-specialty in sports medicine. I’m excited to be part of this program and will work hard and give it my best.

Hello, my name is Ryu Morrison and I am a sophomore undergraduate working towards a BA in Psychology! I aim to become a clinical therapist through graduating from FAU and attending a graduate school. I work as an undergraduate researcher at FAU's Close Relationships and Personality Lab, and also serve in an internship under a board-certified psychiatrist. Additionally, I work as an Elite Owl under FAU's Office of Leadership and Development and serve as the President of Students For Play Club. I am grateful and excited to be a part of the Soar in 4 Program.

My ultimate goal is to be a high-quality physician and to give back and positively impact the world through medicine and music; both being healing factors in the human body, mind, and spirit. My name is Carlos Ojeda and I am a Medical Biology major. I was born in Miami, Florida and raised in Orlando, Florida. My career goals consist of becoming a physician, obtaining an MBA, and progressing the research on neurodegenerative conditions. I owe all of my current and future success to my adoring mother who pushes me further beyond my own capabilities, and to my astute father who has instilled his undying passion of medicine and professionalism into my life.

My focus in my major is climate change, as it is something I am very passionate about and have been since I was a little kid. Hi, I am Rachel Rubenzahl and am currently a Medical Biology major. I have a passion for the sciences and aspire to become a medical researcher. I believe neurological research is particularly fascinating, but I am very open to pursuing medical research in its general capacity and narrowing my focus in the future. The more I learn the more curious I become, and I am excited for what the future holds.

My name is Eszter Varga. I am an international student from Hungary and I am a Biological Sciences major here at FAU. My long-term goal is to obtain a PhD in Neuroscience and in Biomedical Sciences. I hope to attend Medical School after that and participate in various researches in the field of medical and evolutionary biology in the future.
