Research Interests

The main emphasis of our research is to better understand protein-carbohydrate interactions involved in many important physiological and pathological processes. We use chemical approaches to synthesize model glycopeptides and glycopeptide libraries as tools for probing glycan biology. This research may have implications in the development of novel more effective disease-modifying therapeutic strategies for cancer and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease.
