Lab Profile
Current research
- How does the way we sleep relate to the quality of our memories? Can changes in our sleep predict changes in our ability to remember?
- How are socioenvironmental factors, like the neighborhood environment, involved in the way that we sleep? Do such factors moderate (or change) the association between sleep and memory?
- Does our sleep affect our brain health over time? How do such changes in brain health affect the way we remember and retain information?
- Are these relationships the same across chronological age (young, middle-aged, older), race and ethnicity, or gender? How might sleep interventions be tailored to different groups to improve cognitive aging outcomes?
