High Performance Liquid Chromatography

The photo shows the inside of the very sensitive instrument used in our laboratory daily when determining the purity of our compounds. High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) allows quantitative and qualitative measures of compounds and how much of the compound is present. Auto-sampler vials shown in the picture carry samples of interest. Samples tested are in liquid form and volumes are in μL. It can run with small sample volumes lower than 2 μL and as high as 200 μL. The picture also shows a multi-well plate that can carry 96 or 384 samples and test them individually. You can test organic and aqueous solvents that contain the sample for HPLC.
