IACUC NOVELUTION ANNOUNCEMENTS

The new IACUC Novelution submission platform has officially launched today November 17, 2025!

Training is available:

• The IACUC Novelution resources page is live. Visit this page for how-to training video and PDF tutorials as well as other resources to help you navigate IACUC Novelution.
• Virtual training is available. If you’d like to schedule a training session for your whole lab contact researchintegrity@fau.edu with a few preferred days and times or sign up on our IACUC Novelution Training calendar.

As part of this transition:

• Protocol Submission Deadlines: Effective January 1, 2026, all protocols that include Category D or E procedures must now be submitted 6 weeks prior to the scheduled IACUC meeting date.
• Current Protocol Form: Effective October 1, 2025, the existing protocol form will no longer be available on the IACUC website.
• If you have upcoming new submissions or triennial renewals, please plan accordingly and reach out to IACUC team members with any questions and for guidance on preparing your submission in the new system.

We are excited to announce the official launch of the new IACUC Novelution module for electronic submission of IACUC protocols beginning November 17, 2025.

The last day to submit new or 3-year renewal protocol applications in the current PDF form will be November 7, 2025.

Novelution is designed to streamline the management of your research administrative functions. Novelution provides integrated connections with the Office of Sponsored Research, FCOI, IRB, and now IACUC modules all on one comprehensive, central platform.

Training materials and additional guidance will be forthcoming to assist your transition into the new system.
