College of Medicine Genomics Facility
The College of Medicine Genomics Core facility provides expertise and support to ensure the best possible outcomes for genomic-related projects. The Genomics Facility serves as a hub for consultation, planning, analysis and scientific interaction relating to genomic-related projects. The Facility supports projects related to RNA sequencing, miRNA-Seq, circRNA-Seq, AltSplicing-Seq and other types of Next-generation sequencing (NGS) approaches. Consultation is provided to assist with experimental design, sample preparation, data analysis, data transfer from sequencing facilities or private and public databases and plans for data validation. The Facility is constantly expanding its capabilities and adapts to the needs of the users. We encourage all investigators interested in incorporating sequencing analysis into their research to contact us before the start of the project.
Our Services
Resources
Acknowledging the Genomics Facility
Consultation and Planning Services
We provide expert consultation for RNASeq and other genomics assays, from experimental design to data analysis planning.
Data Analysis
Our pipelines handle differential gene expression analysis, miRNA, circRNA detection, and more. We also provide custom analysis services to meet your specific needs.
Organism Sequencing Requirement: The organism sequenced should have a published and annotated reference genome readily available in one of the public databases (GenBank, UCSC, Ensembl).
Data Validation
Consultation on RT-qPCR, RT-PCR, and other methods to validate DEG data.
Data Upload and Repository Services
We assist with the transfer, management, and upload of RNASeq datasets to relevant online databases. This service ensures that data is properly stored and available for publication. We also assist in preparing data for manuscript submission. Our services include:
