Thursday, Mar 26, 2026
Calling all environmentally interested undergraduates! Florida Atlantic University’s School of Environmental, Coastal, and Ocean Sustainability (ECOS) will host a spring WLW-ECOS Undergraduate Expo on Tuesday, April 7, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Owl’s Nest, Schmidt Family Complex for Academic and Athletic Excellence, Boca Raton campus.
Students will have the opportunity to engage with student researchers; meet environmental professionals about career and internship opportunities; gain personalized resume feedback from FAU’s Career Services; speak with founders and business owners who are leading innovative environmental startups; and view current WLW-ECOS students’ research poster presentations.
“This event is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students to learn about ECOS and the dynamic career paths and internships opportunities that are available,” said Steven Vollmer, Ph.D., director of FAU’s School of Environmental, Coastal, and Ocean Sustainability, and professor in the Department of Biological Sciences, Schmidt College of Science. “Our talented students are poised to become tomorrow’s leaders who are tackling complex environmental issues, and giving students the chance to network and connect with real-world experiences as undergraduates is critical for their future careers.”
Advance registration is encouraged. This event is free and open to all Florida Atlantic undergraduate students. Light refreshments will be served.
WLW-ECOS opportunities are provided by generous donor support of solution-oriented environmental research as part of Florida Atlantic’s School of Environmental, Coastal, and Ocean Sustainability.
