Dr. Gonzalo Aguiar Malosetti received his PhD from Washington University in St. Louis. He has taught courses in Spanish, Portuguese, and English at Tulane University and State University of New York at Oswego. Dr. Aguiar Malosetti’s research focuses on Latin American intellectual history, race, organized crime, and policing practices from the 1970s up to the present in Brazil. In 2019 he published a book about modernity, intellectuals and the public sphere in Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay at the turn of the 20th century.
