The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (B.S.C.S.) Professional Program, offered by the FAU Department of Computer & Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, is designed specifically for working professionals.

Classes will be offered from the FAU Davie campus on weekends and online. The first class starts in Spring 2021 and the program takes about 21 months to complete.

"We plan to have a new cohort at least every year. The classes will be a mixture of face-to-face and online," said Dr. Hanqi Zhuang, Professor and Interim Chair of the Department of Computer & Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. "The face-to-face sessions will most likely be on Saturdays. These are all mini-master (8-week) courses."

The Professional Program includes evening, weekend, and online courses and materials using Canvas. This degree program requires 36 core computer science credits and 6 credits of computer science electives.

The duration of each course may be four, eight, or 16 weeks depending on the course format. Students are typically expected to complete the program in two years.
