Ellen has more than 30 years of professional music performance experience and 26 years of music teaching experience. Her 22 years in Social Work include social service work and advocacy with families and individuals with development disabilities and brain injuries, group/community/organizational facilitation, non-profit consultation, curriculum and program design, six years as an Extension Educator in Family and Consumer Resources, 11+ years of professional coaching and wellness work, along with her 13 years in higher education. Her work exists at the crossroads of social justice and art, and social justice and wellness. She is committed to providing the space, intention, insight and support that allows people and communities to have conversations that empower collective wellness and personal growth. Ellen’s professional style is a collaborative, social-constructivist, experientially-based approach. She creates spaces where all ideas are welcomed and respected, critical thinking is encouraged and expected, and creative approaches to problem solving are honed.
