Ellen Rondina, LMSW

 

Ellen began her academic teaching career in 2007 teaching face-to-face undergraduate classes in Social Work and Family Studies as an adjunct with the University of New Hampshire. She then became a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of New England School of Social Work in the first fully-online MSW program from 2011-2015. In 2015, Ellen began teaching as an adjunct for online MSW programs at various institutions, including Columbia University, Yeshiva University, University of New England and University of New Hampshire. She also taught in the undergraduate music program at University of La Verne.

Ellen has more than 30 years of professional music performance experience and 26 years of music teaching experience. Her 22 years in Social Work include social service work and advocacy with families and individuals with development disabilities and brain injuries, group/community/organizational facilitation, non-profit consultation, curriculum and program design, six years as an Extension Educator in Family and Consumer Resources, 11+ years of professional coaching and wellness work, along with her 13 years in higher education. She self-published an Amazon #1 best-selling book on Self-Care for helping professionals in 2018 and has since been contracted with a publisher for three additional books, including two children’s picture books related to healing, social-emotional wellness and adoption.

Her work exists at the crossroads of social justice and art, and social justice and wellness. She is committed to providing the space, intention, insight and support that allows people and communities to have conversations that empower collective wellness and personal growth. Ellen’s professional style is a collaborative, social-constructivist, experientially-based approach. She creates spaces where all ideas are welcomed and respected, critical thinking is encouraged and expected, and creative approaches to problem solving are honed.
