Criminology and Criminal Justice Welcomes New Faculty

This Fall, there will be a new face in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice! Assistant professor, Michelle N. Eliasson, PhD, was born and raised in Sweden before she moved to the United States in 2017 to pursue her master’s degree and PhD at the University of Florida. Her primary areas of expertise are victimology, policing, and qualitative methodology. Dr. Eliasson’s research explores criminal justice professionals’ perceptions of their jobs and of victims/victimization, researcher trauma and safety, and medical professionals’ experiences with trauma and victimization.
