Crystal McDougle Focuses on Bridge Between Social Work, Arts & Sports

Crystal McDougle, MSW alumna, has accepted a spot in Howard University’s PhD program. “My passion lies in exploring the synergy of art, sports, and social work to drive meaningful change in historically marginalized communities,” McDougle said, “potentially shaping new social policies and community development programs. My journey began at Florida Atlantic with a curiosity about the why behind human behavior, leading me to study psychology. I deepened my understanding through a master’s in social work, uncovering the dynamics of systems, inequities, and the roles people play within them. Florida Atlantic prepared me for this next step, and I’m excited to bring fresh perspectives to the field.”
