Shania Grant Wins 'Social Sciences, Business, and Education' Category

Shania Grant, MSCCJ student in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice (SCCJ) won the “Social Sciences, Business, and Education” category at the Graduate and Professional Student Association’s 16th Annual Graduate Research Day. Shania’s research, “Examining the impact of racial attitudes on the public’s support for reentry initiatives,” is the product of work with her mentor, Cassandra Atkin-Plunk, PhD, SCCJ associate professor and associate director. The award came with a $500 scholarship prize as well as an invitation to present her research at the Conference of Florida Graduate Schools in April.
