Honoring Excellence, Legacy, and Owl Pride
Florida Atlantic recently celebrated 40 years of alumni impact at the 2025 Hall of Fame and Distinguished Alumni Ceremony – and it was nothing short of inspiring. From the College of Social Work and Criminal Justice, we honored Alan Siegel (Criminal Justice c/o 2007), co-founder and equity partner of Demand the Limits, LLC, and a leader in personal injury law, as our 2025 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year!
“My time at FAU not only opened doors, but provided me with a strong foundation that has guided me in my personal and my professional career,” said Siegel during his acceptance speech. “This award is not just a reflection of my journey, but of all those along the way who have lifted me up. It’s a reminder of our responsibility to do the same for others.”
Siegel was joined in the celebration by his wife and daughters, his law firm partner, and members of his extended family, as well as Dean Naelys Luna, Tony Andenoro, PhD, director of community engagement and programming, Tootie Martin, director of development, and Ryan Meldrum, PhD, director of the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice (SCCJ), and Sigal Rubin, MSCCJ, SCCJ undergraduate coordinator.
