Celebrating 10 Years of Service With St. Lucie County Police

Adam Dobrin, PhD, Recognized for Longtime Volunteer Policing
St. Lucie County Sheriff Richard Del Toro recently recognized Adam Dobrin, PhD, SCCJ professor and adjunct faculty coordinator, with a plaque for his 10 years of service as a volunteer police officer with the St. Lucie County Police Department. Dobrin is a Certified Volunteer Policing Leader and serves as the 2nd Vice President for the Volunteer Law Enforcement Officers Alliance, a preeminent international organization in volunteer policing. In both academic and professional settings, he’s published numerous articles and presented at conferences on volunteer policing topics. For the occasion, Dobrin wore a tie and tie-clip that were gifted to him by the Kent Special Constabulary in the United Kingdom for helping them organize an international volunteer policing conference.
