200+ Entries … One Winner
The 7th Annual Art of Science Judges Have Made Their Selections
Florida Atlantic University’s “Art of Science” competition celebrates the creativity and visual beauty of scientific research, inviting faculty, students and staff to showcase their work through photography and video. The competition highlights how science and art intersect, strengthening connections between the research community and the public while reflecting FAU’s growing reputation for innovation, discovery and excellence.
This year’s competition drew a record-breaking 200 entries across disciplines such as marine science, engineering, biology and environmental research. Winners have now been announced, and the community can vote for their favorite submission in the People’s Choice Award. The top entries will be featured in the Art of Science Gallery Exhibition next March, giving the public a chance to experience the creativity behind FAU’s research.
“Every year, the Art of Science competition reminds us that creativity is at the heart of discovery,” said Gregg Fields, Ph.D., FAU vice president for research. “Our faculty, student and staff researchers are not only advancing knowledge – they are showing the world the beauty within the pursuit of science. The images in this competition reflect the imagination, curiosity and passion that drive FAU’s research community forward.”
