FAU High School M.D. Direct Program

The FAU High School M.D. Direct Program is a highly selective, collaborative program with the FAU Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine for students who have a strong desire to pursue a career in medicine. Admitted students earn a B.A. or B.S. degree from FAU, an approved 2-year M.S. degree from FAU, and the M.D. degree from FAU's College of Medicine (FAUCOM) in Boca Raton in seven or eight years. The College of Science and the College of Engineering and Computer Science may provide teaching or research assistantships to FAUHS M.D. Direct students during enrollment in their master's programs, which includes a partial tuition waiver.

Admission is open to highly qualified FAU High School seniors, with preferential consideration given to National Merit Finalists and Scholars.

Important Information:

Once confirmed to have met the eligibility requirements, these students will receive an invitation to complete the BS/MD Qualtrics survey.
  • FAU HS Seniors who do not have an "Early Admissions" acceptance must complete the FAU Admissions form via the Future Owls Portal . Once an applicant has been confirmed to meet the eligibility requirements, they will be invited to complete the secondary application for the BS/MD program.
