Biography
Dr. Wiggill is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine. She serves as the Community and Preventive Medicine Clerkship Director for the year 3 curriculum and the Director of Community Preceptorships for the pre-clinical years. Additionally, she is a Career Advisor and lecturer in the Foundations of Medicine and Pathophysiology and Therapeutics 1 courses.
Dr. Wiggill graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Biological Sciences from the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College of Florida Atlantic University in 2006. She then went on to complete her medical degree at the Morsani College of Medicine at the University of South Florida, graduating in 2010. Dr. Wiggill is Board Certified in Family Medicine and completed her residency training at Halifax Family Medicine Residency in Daytona Beach, FL.
After practicing clinically in South Florida for several years, Dr. Wiggill realized the lack of nutrition education within medical training. This motivated her to pursue her Master of Science in Nutrition from Liberty University, and she was conferred this degree in 2023. During this time, Dr. Wiggill joined the faculty at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine in June 2022, allowing her to share her passion for primary care, preventive medicine, nutrition, and community health through undergraduate medical education.
