Biography

Deborah W. Louda, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Population Health and Social Medicine at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Louda has conducted basic science research in the areas of cellular growth control and the development of metal-containing anticancer therapeutic agents. In addition, she has directed projects in chemical education including the creation of new activities to promote student learning in general chemistry and biochemistry. Dr. Louda has served as Director of the M1/M2 Basic Science Curriculum at the FAU College of Medicine and has conducted research in medical education focusing on problem-based learning.
