Message from the Chair

The Department of Population Health and Social Medicine commits to being recognized as a global leader in population health and social medicine. We are a dynamic group of clinicians, researchers, and scholar educators who are committed to improving the health of the communities we serve, including under-served and historically excluded populations.

We do this by addressing the political and social dimensions of health, illness, and doctoring by: providing innovative education to all of our learners; engaging in collaborative interdisciplinary research spanning basic, clinical, translational, and community; and participating in vital community partnerships.
