The Department of Preventive Medicine & Health Sciences commits to being recognized as a global leader in preventive medicine and health sciences. We are a dynamic group of clinicians, researchers, and scholar educators who are committed to improving the health of the communities we serve.

We do this by addressing the dimensions of health, illness, and doctoring by: providing innovative education to all of our learners; engaging in collaborative interdisciplinary research spanning basic, clinical, translational, and community; and participating in vital community partnerships.
